Warranty Assurance and Administration

Minacs is seeking Warranty candidates for our client site in Irvine, CA.   The position will conduct warranty claim reviews and audits including reviewing technical content and adherence to policies and procedures.   

1.       Process both small and large scale warranty claim audits


2.       Review claims for excess payment including duplicate repairs, overlapping labor, and excessive parts while investigating system edits during the audit process

3.       Review parts and claims to validate compliance with proper diagnosis procedures, claim submission procedures, and compliance with TSB or TSB parts flags

4.      Conduct claim charge back decisions based on knowledge of warranty policy, training, and vehicle technical experience

5.       Conduct parts physical inspection and testing based on audit criteria


6.       Assemble audit findings and create summary reports for the warranty leadership team


Essential Qualifications:


Education and Skills

·         Certification or degree in automotive or related technical field preferred

·         General knowledge of windows-based applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), database entry and reporting

·         Ability to comprehend complex warranty and service policies and procedures

·         Knowledge of statistical research and performing claim queries is preferred

·         Knowledge of vehicle systems and automotive mechanics

·         Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certified preferred

·         Excellent problem solving skills

·         Excellent communication both written and spoken


·         Minimum 2 years of automotive warranty or service industry

·          Experience and knowledge of vehicle troubleshooting and repair of passenger or commercial vehicles

·         Experience in a customer service or transaction processing role

·         Dealership service writer or warranty administrator experience is preferred

·         Working knowledge of dealership parts and service operations preferred
