We’re currently looking for a System Administrator for our IT department.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization
  • Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues
  • Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
  • upgrades of IT infrastructure
  • Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements
  • Monitor SIEM and EDR systems
  • Troubleshoot issues and outages
  • Ensure security through access controls and backups
  • Upgrade systems with new releases and models
  • Responsible for capacity, storage planning, and database performance
  • Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies
  • Test release of products to minimize user impact and ensure compatibility
  • Follow Group network policies, standards, procedures
  • Create technical support documentation for systems and applications

Requirements and skills:

  • Proven experience as a System Administrator
  • Experience with databases, virtualization (Citrix, VmWare) networks (LAN, WAN), patch management
  • Experience with SIEM systems. Detect, analyze, and respond to security threats before they harm business operations
  • Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery
  • Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms
  • Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
  • Fluency in English

Experience Requirements:

  • 3 -5 years experience in a system administration role
  • System administration and IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or other network related fields are a plus
  • Working knowledge of virtualization, Citrix or VMWare, or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols
  • Experience with scripting and automation tools
