Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced world-class accounting professional to be our Accounting Manager in the GLSS. This person will be responsible for the overall delivery of end-to end accounting processes for either or a combination of Global Processes functions. This position will manage a team of hybrid resources in various countries in delivering top-of-the-line accounting services to the relevant stakeholders. The individual must have strong multi-tasking and communication skills, be detail oriented and a team player.
Responsibilities:
Key objectives for this position include:
- Global process lead of the intercompany accounting and process. Responsible for ongoing development of the Company’s intercompany related processes, improvements and policies for company’s consolidated financials.
- Supervises staff, oversees the delivery and day to day operations of the global intercompany team, ensuring that all standards are met and procedures are followed.
- Reviews and monitors inter-company related services to identify trends and problem areas, reporting on risks, key performance indicators and proposed corrective action or new approaches.
- Supervises staff, managing performance, staff development, training and careers
- Ensures that multi-currency Intercompany balances reconcile at USD globally every month as compliance to SOX and endorses the same to GL Core, Regional Controllers and Corporate team for ledger close processes and eliminations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (AP, AR, GL, Tax, Treasury & IT etc.) to identify opportunities to improve and standardize accounting processes including the Intercompany closing process (i.e. reduce mismatches, reducing close cycle, automate manual processes) while not sacrificing the quality of the resulting financial data.
- Proactively track inter-company issues, and coordinate with IT and other functional owners to ensure timely resolution of identified issues.
- Review monthly Intercompany reconciliations and evaluate Key Performance Indicators to identify problem areas, risks, perform root cause analysis and propose corrective actions
- Prepare recons and roll forwards for internal and external reporting.
- Partnering with the immediate Manager/GLSS management to support and drive implementation of strategic initiatives, continuous improvement and other special projects.
- Manages team performance and ensure team's career development through training, mentorships and agile workforce opportunities
- Provides audit support, both internal and external
- Any other function as may be delegated by the immediate superior (special projects)
- Willing to accept work or other assignments outside the normal scope or responsibility
Qualifications:
- Graduate of BS Accountancy, CPA/MBA is preferred but not required
- Expertise in the field of General Accounting with at least 10 years of meaningful experience
- Leadership experience of at least 5 years in a managerial capacity with at least 10 HCs
- Minimum 6 years of inter-company accounting, transfer pricing and GL experience
- ERP experience in GL and Intercompany is strongly desired
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, analytical and critical thinker
- Demonstrates can do attitude, with process improvement mind-set
- Self-driven, reliable, proactive and a team player
- Flexible to adjust work schedule in order to accommodate the global nature of this role
- Experience in a BPO /Shared Service set-up is an advantage
