About the Role
As an Insurance Sales and Renewals Advisor, you'll be the key point of contact for customers seeking advice, assistance, or information on renewing and purchasing insurance policies. Your role will involve managing both inbound and outbound calls, helping customers with queries, processing renewals, and recommending suitable insurance products. Whether you’re responding to customers looking to adjust their policies, switch providers, or explore new insurance options, you'll use your expertise to guide them towards the best choices for their needs.
You will also play a vital part in building long-lasting customer relationships by providing professional and friendly support, ensuring that every customer interaction is positive and leaves them confident in their decision.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Insurance Sales & Renewals: Proactively engage with customers to assist with the sale of new insurance policies and renewal of existing ones. You’ll assess customers’ needs and suggest appropriate options to ensure they have the right cover in place.
- Customer Interaction: Handle inbound and outbound calls with customers to ensure their queries are answered and their policies are updated in a timely manner..
- Product Knowledge: Utilise your understanding of insurance products and the market to explain policy terms, coverage options, and pricing. Ensure customers are fully informed about their options.
- Problem-Solving: Address any customer issues or concerns regarding their insurance policies, offering clear solutions and ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
- Achieving Sales Targets: Drive sales and customer renewals by leveraging service interactions to identify opportunities and deliver tailored solutions. Engage customers proactively to meet both individual and team performance goals, ensuring a seamless blend of excellent service with sales outcomes.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with your colleagues to deliver top-tier customer service and meet business targets. Share knowledge and best practices to support team success.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: Preferably 1 year of sales experience, ideally in an insurance or contact center environment, however sales experience from other industries will be considered. Knowledge of insurance products and FCA regulations is a plus, although full training will be provided.
- Sales Skills: Ability to engage customers with a customer-first approach, understanding their needs and offering insurance products that provide the best solutions and upsell insurance products that meet their needs. A passion for delivering results through exceptional service and contributing to a sales-driven team environment
- Customer-Centric Sales Mindset: Ability to engage customers through heavily scripted conversations, ensuring compliance with FCA regulations while understanding their needs and providing tailored insurance solutions.
- Problem-Solving Ability: Quick thinking to handle customer queries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Attention to Detail: Accuracy in managing customer data, processing renewals, and updating policy information correctly.
- Digital Literacy: Comfortable using a variety of systems and tools (Microsoft Office, CRM software, etc.) to track customer interactions and process sales and renewals.
