Associate, Sales Development (Lead Generation Specialist)
Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Associate Sales Development role will focus on lead generation and qualification, based on a variety of inbound leads and sources. Your primary goal will be to identify and qualify leads to support the sales team’s objectives with well-prepared, high-quality leads. You will articulate the value of our products and services to prospective customers and identify upselling opportunities at the early stages of the sales cycle.
As a permanent position within our growing organization, you will play a key role in developing a new technology business line in South Korea. We seek individuals who are curious, customer-focused, and possess strong communication and analytical skills. Comfort in navigating ambiguity and managing complex conversations is essential, as you will assist customers in identifying challenges and establishing new workflows.
Successful candidates will be experienced professionals eager to creatively resolve customer inquiries and handle objections. You will build deeper relationships over extended sales cycles with prospects at various organizational levels. In addition to driving revenue, you will conduct thorough customer research and competitor analysis to provide qualified leads and ensure accurate updates in our customer relationship management (CRM) system.
Responsibilities
- Lead Generation & Qualification: Manage high volumes of daily customer contacts via phone and email, focusing on outbound communication. Identify and qualify inbound leads from sources like website inquiries, live chat, and emails. Assess potential customer needs and fit with products/services using the BANT (Budget, Authority, Need, Timing) framework. Provide timely and accurate lead handovers to the sales team for further engagement and closure.
- Sales & Upselling: Communicate the value proposition of products/services effectively to prospects. Identify upselling opportunities during lead qualification and introduce additional products/services that meet customer needs. Build relationships and maintain high engagement with prospects early in the sales process to nurture leads for successful conversions.
- Research & Market Analysis: Analyze competitor information and trends to identify sales opportunities. Help identify the best solutions for customers and how to implement those solutions. Stay updated on industry trends and customer pain points to provide tailored value propositions during the sales cycle.
- Customer-Centric Approach: Handle all customer interactions professionally and with a customer-centric mindset. Address customer inquiries and objections creatively and empathetically. Proactively assist customers in resolving concerns and overcoming obstacles that may hinder their satisfaction or effective use of the product.
- Performance Tracking & Customer Relationship Management (CRM): Meet and exceed lead generation, qualification, and handover targets. Collaborate with the sales team to monitor lead progress, evaluate lead quality throughout the sales funnel, and adjust strategies as needed for optimal results. Provide regular reports on lead quality, conversion rates, and other relevant KPIs to the management team. Record detailed lead information and customer interactions in the company’s CRM system, updating sales account notes and lead status regularly.
Competencies
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a metrics-driven sales or customer-facing role.
- Proven experience in prospecting, outreach, lead qualification, and lead generation.
- Experience selling technology products or solutions (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, etc.) is highly desirable.
- Candidates with a background in B2B product or service sales are encouraged to apply.
- Fluency in Korean and English is required to effectively engage with customers across South Korea and the APAC region.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and telephone skills are essential.
