Job Description
The Manager I, Accounting is responsible for the overall delivery of end-to end accounting processes for either or a combination of Global Processes functions including Global Intercompany, Global Bank Reconciliation and Global Fixed Assets. This position will manage a team of hybrid resources in various countries in delivering top-of-the-line accounting services to the relevant stakeholders.

What you will do in this role

- Global primary point of contact and FA lead for global fixed assets accounting
- Oversee the timely delivery of day-to-day FA sub ledger and month-end close accounting activities, ensuring all standard procedures and controls are followed globally for all regions, and service level agreements in terms of timeliness and quality are met. Maintain and operational excellence delivery.
- Responsible for creating and communicating key financial reports and business analysis/support to management on capital expenditure and depreciation trends. Exhibits good technical accounting knowledge of the long-lived asset process, and leads the Fixed Asset team.
- Perform capital project accounting and reporting utilizing the current asset management system
- Ensures that Fixed assets balances at sub-ledger(FA) and general ledger (GL) are reconciled globally every month as compliance to SOX and Tax requirements
- Collaborate closely with key cross-functional teams (AP, AR, GL, Tax, Controllers, IT, Facility, FP&A and Financial Systems) to identify opportunities to improve and standardize accounting processes while maintaining the quality and integrity of the resulting financial data and ensure compliance with statutory and tax requirements
- Review monthly reconciliations and evaluate Key performance Indicators to identify problem areas, risks, perform root cause analysis and propose corrective actions
- Lead the team on Corporate and GLSS initiatives related to process standardization, acquisition integration, trainings and knowledge transfers for proces migration and absorption
- Drive and rally the team to propose and submit continuous improvement initiatives to generate efficiency gains on the processes. Review and validate submitted initiatives and guide the team to complete and implement initiatives
- Create a positive work environment through employee engagement; resolve employee relation issues in a professional and timely manner
- Manages team performance and ensure team's career development through regular 1:1 meeting, career discussion, proper succession planning, training, mentorships and agile workforce opportunities
- Liaise with internal and external auditors. Prepare audit schedules relating to fixed assets, and provide timely response to auditors for their inquiries.
- Any other function as may be delegated by the immediate superior (special projects)
- "Participate in global project initatives - exisitng or new pipeline
- Lead couple of engagement activities or other GLSS initiatives
- Membership to any accounting committee"
- Regularly review and update process documentation (desktop procedures, flowchart etc)
- Participate on regional or global initiatives and provide relevant insights and recommendations
- Establish strong engagement with relevant stakeholders (Controllers and Finance Partners)

- Graduate of BS Accountancy, CPA/MBA is preferred but not required
- Expertise in the field of General Accounting with at least 10 years of meaningful experience
- Knowledge of technical accounting practices and possess strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Leadership experience of at least 5 years in a managerial capacity with at least 10 HCs
- Experience working in a BPO or shared services industry
- Strong ability to apply several accounting and reporting systems
- Lean six sigma certification is a plus
- Excellent interpersonal and time management skills to meet time-sensitive deadline
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative/participates and leads value adding projects with focus on continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize projects in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented business environment.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to effectively present information to internal and external stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of the organization's business operations and industry. Demonstrated business acumen.
- Takes initiatives, pro-active in addressing operational issues and recommending viable permanent solutions.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills Additional Requirements:
- Amenable to work on flexible hours, holidays and extended hours during month-end
- Capable of working at home temporarily
- Seasoned professional with a full understanding of area of specialization; resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways.
- Fully qualified, career-oriented, journey-level position and represents the level at which a career may stabilize for many years.
- Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
- Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own and others areas of expertise
- Works independently, may coach other junior professionals"
