Summary
We are looking for an experienced Finance & Accounting (F&A) Team Leader to manage and oversee daily operations within our Shared Services Centre / Finance function. This role involves performing & supervising a team of finance professionals primarily across Accounts Receivable (AR/O2C), Accounts Payable (AP), and/or Record-to-Report (R2R) processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery. The Team Leader will also drive process improvements, people development, and act as a key point of contact for stakeholders.
The role will involve functional and managerial responsibilities. However, it is expected that the candidate will also be actively involved in operational tasks primarily related to O2C (Order to Cash), AP (Accounts Payable) and/or R2R (Record-to-Report) processes.
Description
Essential Functions/Core Responsibilities
- Lead, perform, supervise, and mentor a team of F&A specialists, ensuring daily tasks are delivered within agreed SLAs/KPIs.
- Perform and Oversee end-to-end F&A operations including primarily AR/O2C, AP, and/or R2R and General Ledger activities (depending on team assignment).
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of invoice processing, payments, collections, reconciliations, accruals, and reporting.
- Manage escalations, resolve complex queries, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor and report on team performance against defined KPIs and service standards.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS / local GAAP, SOX, audit, and company policies.
- Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end close activities with accurate reporting.
- Drive process improvements, automation, and best practices to enhance efficiency.
- Partner with HR/Training to develop team skills and support career progression.
- Act as deputy to the Finance Operations Manager when required.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business.
- Master’s degree (MBA / CA / CMA) preferred.
- 5-7 years of F&A experience in SSC/GBS or corporate finance.
- At least 2–3 years in a team leader/supervisory role.
- Experience with multi-country, multi-currency operations is an advantage.
- In-depth knowledge of F&A processes (AP, AR, R2R, GL) in a Shared Services/GBS environment.
- Strong proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Workday, or similar).
- Advanced MS Excel and familiarity with BI/reporting tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and people management skills.
- Problem-solving mindset with ability to work under pressure.
- Fluency in English
