Job Description
The Cloud Security Developer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security measures across our cloud infrastructure. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud platforms, strong technical skills in security tools and practices, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will play a key role in safeguarding our cloud environments against security threats and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Security Architecture: Design and implement secure architecture for cloud environments, considering best practices and compliance requirements.
- Security Tool Implementation: Implement security tools and technologies to monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents in cloud environments.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct vulnerability assessments and manage remediation efforts to mitigate security risks.
- Identity and Access Management (IAM): Implement and manage IAM policies and controls to ensure secure access to cloud resources.
- Security Automation: Develop scripts and automation tools to streamline security operations and enhance incident response capabilities.
- Compliance Monitoring: Monitor and ensure compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS) and industry standards.
- Incident Response: Participate in incident response activities, including investigation, containment, and recovery.
- Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of security configurations, procedures, and incidents.
- Collaboration: Work closely with IT operations, DevOps, and development teams to integrate security into the CI/CD pipeline and ensure secure deployment of applications.
- Training and Awareness: Provide guidance and training to internal teams on cloud security best practices.
Requirements
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Experience:
o Proven experience in cloud security roles, with hands-on experience in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
o Strong understanding of networking, virtualization, and containerization technologies.
o Experience with security tools and technologies (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners).
o Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Terraform).
o Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, CIS benchmarks).
o Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and integration of security into CI/CD pipelines.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Security - Specialty, Azure Security Engineer, CISSP, or equivalent certifications are preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced Knowledge: Experience with Kubernetes security and microservices architecture.
- Cloud Governance: Familiarity with cloud governance frameworks and controls.
- Auditing and Monitoring: Experience with auditing cloud environments and implementing continuous monitoring solutions.
