Job Description

Role and Key Responsibilities

Supervision: Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the collections team.

Training and Development: Providing training to team members on collection techniques, negotiation skills, and compliance with regulations.

Performance Management: Monitoring individual and team performance, setting targets, and providing feedback.

Problem Solving: Resolving escalated customer issues and finding solutions to overcome challenges in the collections process.

Data Analysis: Analyzing collection data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and strategies to increase effectiveness.

Compliance: Ensuring that collections practices adhere to company policies and regulations such as the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).

Communication: Acting as a liaison between upper management and the collections team, and maintaining clear communication channels within the team.

Motivation: Motivating and empowering team members to achieve collection goals and maintain high morale.

Reporting: Generating reports on collection activities, performance metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for management review.

Adaptability: Being flexible and able to adjust strategies based on changing market conditions, regulations, or company policies.

Key skills & knowledge:

Good people management skills/Demonstrated ability to lead people and drive results.

Collection Experience - preferred.

Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.

Highly analytical with excellent communication skills.

Deliver flawless Customger Service.

Good understanding of quality tools and demonstrate commitment to quality.

Knowledge of the banking domain shall be an added advantage

Quality of recommendations for continuous improvement/implementation of changes

Educational Qualification: Graduate
