Summary: We are looking for a talented IT Project Manager to join our team! We are in a hybrid office model, so you will need to go into the office a few days a week (locations listed below). We need someone who has worked on large enterprise projects over $5M.

Responsibilities & Overview:
- Direction of technology projects from initiation through planning, execution, control and implementation. (30%)
- Works with Project Sponsor and Product Owner to create project vision, objectives, scope definition and success criteria. (5%)
- Develop project plans, provide direction and coordinate project activities associated with the installation, evaluation, and implementation of IT project software and hardware. (20%)
- Develop project schedules with work breakdown structures that assure timely completion of projects while meeting project objectives. (10%)
- Works with vendors to review quality, adaptability and compatibility of their products. (10%)
- Facilitates requirements gathering, user story definition, acceptance criteria and estimation sessions. (10%)
- Facilitates Test Strategy discussions that result in adequate product testing.
- Identify project resources. (5%)
- Assemble and provide orientation for project teams; assign individual responsibilities related to each project. (5%)
- Using metrics, effectively track, document and report project progress against budget and schedule. (5%)
- Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with hardware, software, consulting and employee resource vendors to insure that the company's systems are adequately supported and external influences on the company's systems are understood and used in planning. (0-5%)
- Manage project risk through risk identification, quantification, mitigation response and control.
- Involved in project budget preparation and subsequent project cost management.
- Evaluates user requests for new or modified computer programs to determine feasibility, cost and time required, compatibility with current systems and computer capabilities.
- Performs any additional responsibilities as requested or assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Information systems, computer science or related technical field.
- Minimum of 8+ years in IT Project Management
- Prior experience in consulting and client facing communications
- Projects lasting 2-3 years or longer and more than $5M.
- Experience in Energy Market Applications
- Must be experienced with Waterfall, Agile and Agile-Hybrid project methodology.
- Need to manage program dealing with Advanced metering infrastructure (AMI).
- Should have experience in managing customers (retail – B2C) and third-party vendors interaction.
- Extensive, hands-on experience with OPC, ADO and MPP.
- Experience of Project Manager experienced aligned with PMO principles
- Experience creating and managing burn down chart for development effort.
- Experience forecasting and tracking defect rate and velocity.
- Experience with recovery get to green plans for any schedule or resource impacts.
- Must be strong in creating and maintaining detailed project plans broken down into feature, epics and stories, with development, report configuration, data conversion, and interface work broken into points no larger than 40 hours.
- Able to quickly learn and utilize the business risk management methodology and scoring, and reporting templates.
- Experience with integrated project plans and dependencies with pitcher catcher milestones.
- Experience with project management planning, control and defect tracking software such as; Microsoft Project and Enterprise Project Server, and Jira.
- Experience managing projects subject to regulatory compliance standards such as NAESB is a plus.
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle.
- Experience with PM Toolsets: Oracle Primavera, MS Project, Azure Dev Ops, Jira, MS Office
- Project management experience: have a firm grasp of technical and functional requirements as they relate to project objectives and project planning activities.
- Knowledge of information technology terms, equipment, systems, functions and major vendors.
- Ability to identify and react appropriately to project risks and issues.
- Strong sense of urgency and ownership in issue resolution.
- Effective oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
- Effective interpersonal, team building and customer relationship skills.
- Effective analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
The base salary range for this position is $118042 - 177063, plus incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on work location, qualifications, skills, education, experience, and competencies.
