In this role, you’ll be our practice’s and clients’ subject matter expert on all matters Apigee, particularly as it relates to migration. You'll have direct access & exposure to experts and leaders and you'll be involved with Apigee engagements for over 30 customers per year accumulating exponential amount of experience in the ecosystem.

Beyond the core migration challenges, you’ll help clients navigate the broader ecosystem of concerns that arise—security, cloud adoption, networking architecture, load balancing strategies, identity platform integration, and seamless customer cutovers. Leveraging your extensive experience with the Apigee platform, you’ll tackle complex issues related to performance, installation, and operations, ensuring that new Apigee implementations provide a seamless developer experience. You’ll work closely with clients to design effective proxies and shared flows that adhere to best practices while also addressing critical enterprise needs such as API security, traffic management, and reliability. As a key member of our team, you’ll serve as a mentor and trusted advisor to other consultants, helping them resolve intricate Apigee challenges. Your expertise will position you as a go-to resource for both clients and Google engineers, where you’ll help shape solutions that go beyond Apigee itself, ensuring a smooth and secure API ecosystem.

Summary:

The successful candidate has a deep and thorough knowledge of the Apigee platforms (Apigee Edge SaaS and Apigee X form factors), including proxy development, analytics, CI/CD integration, architecture, and networking requirements Documented experience in designing and guiding the build and usage of Apigee X implementations is essential. The ideal candidate can quickly learn and adapt to a fast-changing environment without significant external direction. The Senior Apigee Architect is a client-facing role

Nice to Have:

  • Understanding of underlying Apigee components, including Cassandra, nginx routers, Apigee ingress, GKE, etc.  
  • Familiarity with GCP and the core networking components, and best practices for connectivity back to client’s current cloud or data center. 
  • Documented experience designing and executing Apigee implementations, including networking, message processor positioning, SSO, and the like 
  • Demonstrated ability to lead by consensus, evangelization, and example 

Educational qualifications:

The base salary range for this position is $109,749 - $164,623, plus incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on work location, qualifications, skills, education, experience, and competencies. Benefits available to eligible employees in this role include medical, dental, and vision insurance, comprehensive employee assistance program, 401(k) retirement plan, paid time off and holidays.
