Mobile QA Automation Engineer Lead

Job Description

Supported by your teammates based in the US and the Americas, you will help to create custom enterprise and consumer applications and platforms. You will be responsible for leading the end-to-end testing, across the whole QA process. This will range from the beginning of sprint planning to writing test cases based on user stories and includes the writing of both automated and manual tests to ensure 360° quality control throughout the sprint and through ongoing regression testing.

You will work with other engineers around the world to write clear, concise, and readable acceptance tests in true BDD style. You’ll help to write and maintain tests primarily using Detox while analyzing and decomposing complicated software systems and designing strategies to test these systems.

When you join this team, you will work continuously with the development team as well as the test engineering teams to ensure that we are providing the highest quality of code, peer code reviews and pair programming.

Requirements:

Expertise in developing and leading holistic project test plans guided by best practices that provide complete project coverage with a mix of automated and manual testing.
Programming experience in Swift, Kotlin or JavaScript
Expertise in developing automated tests using at least one of the following:

o XCUITest for Swift.

o Espresso framework for Android apps using Kotlin.

o Detox framework for React Native UI testing.

Experience developing and executing tests within XCode and/or Android Studio.
Knowledge of XML/JSON RESTful APIs as well as tools to manipulate these, such as Charles Proxy or Fiddler
Skilled with continuous integration toolchains (Bitrise/Fastlane/Testflight).
Experience using Jira in an Agile test process.
Experience researching, defining and communicating test automation best practice amongst SDETs.
Experience training team members on the implementation of best practice and providing leadership/advice to fellow SDETs.
Experience in performing peer reviews of code and test cases.
Experience in participating in the complete software development lifecycle and providing the QA perspective to the various steps in the cycle (Requirements refinement, task sizing, retro feedback, etc.).
Experience of working in a cross-functional team environment.
