We are currently looking for an Accounting Controller who will work at our Tirana Office which is located in a premium location in Tirana Stadium and who will become part of our successful Concentrix team.
Job Description:
We are looking for a Junior Accounting Controller to support the accounting and financial control functions for our Albanian operations, reporting directly to the Regional Accounting Controller. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with foundational accounting experience to grow and develop within an international business environment.
As a Junior Accounting Controller, you will be responsible for supporting the daily accounting activities, assisting with month-end close processes, ensuring accurate financial records, and maintaining compliance with local regulations. This role is ideal for someone eager to learn and gain hands-on experience in accounting control within a regional context.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily Accounting Management: Assist with recording financial transactions, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring proper documentation and accuracy.
- Month-End Close Support: Help execute month-end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial data.
- Account Reconciliation: Coordinate SSC with Accounts Reconciliation, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with the relevant accounting standards.
- Audit Support: Provide assistance during external audits by coordinating with SSC necessary documentation and supporting data.
- Regulatory Compliance: Monitor adherence to tax regulations in Albania, ensuring compliance with corporate policies.
- Collaboration with Italy Team: Work closely with the Italy-based finance team to ensure alignment and consistency of financial practices and integration of financial data.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Prior experience in accounting (from 6 months to 1-2 years), preferably in an international environment or in accounting firms.
- International accounting principles (IFRS) and US GAAP is considered as a plus.
- Local tax regulations is considered as a plus.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of Italian is highly preferred, as this role will involve frequent communication with the Italian headquarters.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Workday is a plus) and strong Excel skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work with accuracy under deadlines.
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Proactive attitude and a desire to learn and develop professionally in the field of accounting.
