The NRS provides services allowing people who are deaf, or find it hard to hear or speak with people who use a phone, the ability to engage in every day conversations and participate in the community.
If you have a genuine interest in helping people and giving back to the community this is the role for you. You will actively listen and provide a great customer experience through text and phone-based communication, providing a solution for people who are deaf or have hearing or speech difficulties.
Key Role Details:
- Operating hours: Monday-Friday 7am to 9pm
- Pay Rate: $26.70 + 12% superannuation and penalty rates
- Comprehensive Training: You’ll receive structured onboarding and ongoing coaching — we’ll ensure you’re fully equipped to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a solution for people who are deaf or have hearing or speech difficulties.
- Responsible for frontline customer service accessible to all users by methods such as telephone, TTY, email, Chat and SMS and any other means available.
- Ability to deal with highly confidential information, including sensitive situations.
- The ability to engage and build rapport with customers/clients over a wide-ranging demographic.
Who are you?

- Have full working rights in Australia and be at least 18 years of age
- Have the ability to complete background and police checks
- Confident and capable in using computers and systems
- Excellent communication skills with a strong command of the English language both verbal and written
