Summary:
We are looking for a Senior Customer Engineering Consultant to join our team as a Windows Server Virtualization/Platforms Customer Engineer. This role is based in the USA and requires the candidate to be a USA resident and citizen. As an advisory role, you will provide architecture, consulting, and support to help customers drive solutions and resolutions.
This opportunity focuses primarily on Hyper-V, SCVMM, and Failover Clustering skills. The role demands broad knowledge of Microsoft products with varying proficiency levels and weighted priorities. Key required proficiencies include Hyper-V 2016 and higher, SCVMM 2016 and higher, Azure Local/Stack HCI 22H2 and higher, Windows Server 2012 R2 to 2025, PowerShell 5.x & PowerShell Core 7.X, Windows Server Failover Clustering, Storage Spaces Direct, Active Directory, and Azure Arc.
Optional knowledge areas include virtualization (migration from VMWare to Hyper-V, Azure VMWare Solutions, Azure Stack HCI, Azure VMs), 3rd party backup tools (Veeam, Commvault, Zerto), general Azure IaaS platform, Windows performance, SCOM, SCDPM, SCCM/MECM, SQL Server on virtual machines, Azure Backup, Azure Site Recovery, BC/DR strategies in Windows environments, networking skills, and storage solution skills.
Permanent U.S. work authorization is required for this position (no visa sponsorship available).
Technical Experience
Technical experience with hybrid infrastructures, architecture designs, and technology management.
8+ years experience with customer-facing roles in systems architecture, administration, operations, software support, IT consulting, on-premises and cloud support or consulting for enterprise and/or government customer base, and advanced troubleshooting.
Understanding of Microsoft’s Modern IT Architecture and Strategy.
Proven track record in successfully planning, deploying, operating, and optimizing on-premises and cloud environments.
Familiar with Microsoft enterprise software product offerings.
Characteristics

Education & Certifications
The base salary range for this position is $91,457 - 137,186 plus incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on work location, qualifications, skills, education, experience, and competencies. Benefits available to eligible employees in this role include medical, dental, and vision insurance, comprehensive employee assistance program, 401(k) retirement plan, paid time off and holidays and paid learning days.
