Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Infrastructure Technical Lead to oversee and optimize our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to drive infrastructure projects to successful completion.

The Infrastructure Technical Lead will support the activities related to managing, facilitating and timely development of the appropriate documentation (Opportunity Canvases) as part of the handoff of approved requests to the Intake teams.

This role will assess, prioritize, and drive decomposition of new Lean Business Cases by collaborating with stakeholders to understand the request, pain points and expected outcomes, and applying Infrastructure knowledge and expertise to translate portfolio needs into requirements to achieve the expected outcomes. Resource may need to leverage agility tools (e.g., Jira) and implement strategies to optimize execution efficiencies.

Exercises considerable creativity, foresight, and judgment in conceiving, planning, and delivering initiatives. Assignment involves a degree of forward planning and anticipation of needs/issues and requires completion without day-to-day supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership:

Lead and mentor a team of infrastructure engineers.

Provide technical guidance and strategic direction for the team.

Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture.

Infrastructure Management:

Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure infrastructure solutions.

Monitor and optimize system performance, reliability, and scalability.

Ensure the availability, integrity, and security of network services and systems.

Project Management:

Plan and execute infrastructure projects, including upgrades, migrations, and deployments.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure projects with business goals.

Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.

Technical Expertise:

Maintain expertise in current and emerging infrastructure technologies.

Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and implement effective solutions.

Develop and enforce infrastructure policies, procedures, and standards.

Vendor Management:

Manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers.

Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance infrastructure capabilities.

Ensure successful delivery of vendor services and projects.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management, including leadership roles.

Strong knowledge of network and server technologies, cloud computing, virtualization, and security.

Proven experience with infrastructure design, implementation, and management.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with DevOps practices and tools.

Engineering, product, or project experience in one or more typical infrastructure spaces. Technologies span Networking, Database Administration, Mainframe, Desktop, Compute, Storage, voice, messaging, etc

Knowledge / experience with Tech Debt type efforts, IAM applications, platforms, Active Directory etc. would be a plus.

Strong understanding of ITIL processes and best practices.
