Job Description
CloudOps Engineer responsibilities:
AWS:
- All Accounts/Regions have CloudTrail Enabled
- All Accounts/Regions have Config Enabled with the top 14 rules turned on
- Appropriate alerts are turned on for out of compliance items
- All Accounts that have IAM users have password policies implemented (must change every 90 days)
- All production accounts have cross-region replication setup for all RDS instances (or at least cross-region snapshots) this is for DR purposes
Azure:
- Audit of ALL Tenant/Subscriptions IAM accounts and the removal of all non-SSO accounts.
- Removal of all ex-employee accounts
- Audit of ALL Tenant/Subscription IAM account owners and the removal of those that should not be owners
- Implement Azure Compliance Manager to help with any risks (Similar to AWS Config)
Qualifications
- B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience with AWS environment (must), operations and automation.
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps concepts and best practices
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Linux OS and scripting required
- Must have experience with the traditional developer toolset and practices such as source control management, conducting code reviews, writing unit tests, and familiarity with agile principles.
- Knowledge of networking and information security concepts/best practices
- Experience with scripting languages such as bash, PowerShell, or Python required
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
