ROLE: Principal Data Architect, Data and Analytics

DESIGNATION: Associate Director, Data and Analytics

LOCATION: Bangalore/Chennai/Gurugram

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 15-18 years

Role and Key Responsibilities:

This role will be part of the Data and Engineering Center of Excellence. Objective of Data Engineering Center of Excellence to provide technology partnership for D&A client engagements, Solutioning for client proposals, create re-usable frameworks and solution accelerators and provide D&A thought leadership within the organization and external forums. This will include, providing data solutions for client requirements, understanding the client’s challenges, designing and estimating a data solution, implementing the solution, ensuring it is of high quality, and leading and mentoring team members.

Responsibilities Include

• Data Architecture Leadership: Define and lead the overall data architecture strategy, including the development of a data roadmap and data strategy that supports client goals.
• Design and Implementation: Design and implement data models, data warehouses, data lakes, and data integration processes.
• Data Governance: Understand and recommend data standards, policies, and procedures to ensure data quality, consistency, and security based on client needs
• Technology Evaluation: Create point of views on data management technology and tools
• AI/ML Integration: Develop expertise in AI/ML technologies and identify opportunities to leverage these technologies for business solutions.
• Generative AI: Evaluate data management options for Generative AI use cases
• Solution Architecture: Create solution architecture for RFP and client requirements around data platform
• Team Leadership: Provide technical leadership and mentoring to the data team while promoting a culture of accountability and operational excellence.
• Continuous Learning: Stay current with emerging trends in data architecture, big data, and analytics to drive innovation within the organization.

Key skills & knowledge:

• Technical Skills:
  • Expertise in data modelling, warehousing, integration, and management technologies.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing (Azure/AWS) and big data analytics.
  • Experience with real-time streaming technologies (e.g., Apache Kafka) and big data processing frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark).
  • Exposure to one of the leading visualization tools (PowerBI or Tableau)
  • Strong understanding of unstructured data and LLM architecture/storage
  • Familiarity with AI/ML tools (e.g., TensorFlow) is a plus.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Strong leadership capabilities.
