What you'll be doing:
- Works closely with internal technology teams, business stakeholders, and outside vendors to research, design, test, evaluate, and select network solutions to secure and protect the infrastructure.
- Deploys and manages network equipment, as well as NG firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
- Monitors networks and network security systems; tracks, manages, and alerts appropriate parties of vulnerabilities, attacks, and other security issues.
- Recommends and implements policies and procedures to ensure adherence to security standards.
- Assists with high level troubleshooting and issue resolution.
- Maintains current knowledge of new technologies and security threats; makes recommendations on improving existing solutions .
- Provides assistance to system users relative to network security matters.
- Performs other job-related duties or special projects as assigned.
- CCNA, CCNP Security, PCNSE/PCNSA and other relevant security certifications are highly desired.
What you need:
- Experience with a broad range of security products, including but not limited to Palo Alto, Cisco, Juniper.
- Experience with client-to-site & site-to-site VPN technologies is highly desired.
- Knowledge of design and deployment of security products/Firewalls in Microsoft Azure and AWS clouds.
- Experience with NAC/NAP technologies such as Cisco ISE is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with the implementation and use of network and security monitoring, fault management and performance analysis tools, including Syslog, SNMP, Solar winds.
- Creative problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and ability to “think outside the box”
- Significant experience with network security concepts, and technologies including, but not limited, to SSH, IPSec, RADIUS, TACACS, firewall policies, SSL Decryption, URL Filtering ,etc.
