Senior Azure Hybrid Infrastructure Engineer -Azure Local CSA (M/F/D)

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Azure Hybrid Infrastructure Engineer with deep, hands-on expertise in Azure Local (Azure Stack HCI) and Azure Arc. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in designing, deploying, and managing end-to-end hybrid infrastructure solutions across on-premises and cloud environments.

You will play a critical role in helping modernize infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability while enabling seamless hybrid cloud integration.

Note: Fluency in German and English (written and verbal)

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, configure, and troubleshoot hybrid infrastructure solutions using Azure technologies

• Implement and manage Azure Local (Azure Stack HCI) environments

• Plan and deploy Software Defined Networking (SDN), including logical networks and connectivity troubleshooting

• Configure and manage Network ATC, including intent-based networking and RDMA/NIC teaming validation

• Deploy and optimize Storage Spaces Direct (S2D), including performance tuning and resiliency troubleshooting

• Manage storage provisioning, including volumes, shares, and tiering strategies

• Onboard and manage resources using Azure Arc, including policies, extensions, and governance

• Deploy and manage virtual machines on Azure Local environments

• Implement and operate Azure Update Manager for hybrid environments

• Monitor system health, performance, and compliance across hybrid infrastructure.

Required Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with:

  • Azure Local (Azure Stack HCI)

  • Azure Arc (primary focus)

• Proven ability to design and implement hybrid cloud solutions (300–400 level expertise)

• Advanced experience with:

  • Software Defined Networking (SDN)

  • Storage Spaces Direct (S2D)

  • Windows Server (2012 R2 – 2025)

• Solid background in virtualization technologies:

  • Hyper-V

  • Azure Stack HCI / Azure Local

  • VMware (nice to have within virtualization scope)

• Experience with System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM)

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across networking, compute, and storage layers.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Azure Backup (policy configuration, restore validation, hybrid workloads)

• Knowledge of Azure Storage (accounts, networking, private endpoints, archival scenarios)

• Familiarity with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) concepts (host pools, session hosts, hybrid identity)
