USER RESEARCHER (THAILAND)
 JOB DESCRIPTION: What are your roles and responsibilities?
• As a User Researcher, you will be responsible for research goals through project management and delivery of actionable insights which integrate into Lazada's product design practice
• Oversee the design and execution of usability testing for Lazada Design Studio
• Conduct qualitative research through discussion guide development and moderation
• Present research findings and translate them into actionable recommendations using MS PowerPoint
• Support the user research team on any other ad-hoc projects
• Work cross-functionally with relevant stakeholders (Product Managers, UX Designers), vendors and other collaboration
teams
• You will be based in Thailand, in Bangkok; and work under the regional User Research team
JOB ALLOCATION: What you will do on a day-to-day basis?
1. Primary: Usability Testing, Discussion Guide Writing, Moderation and Reporting
a. Plan and Setup Unmoderated and Moderated Usability Testing and Eye Tracking studies with UX Designers on UXArmy tool and analyze results for Lazada Design Studio team
b. Develop Discussion Guides for Moderated Usability Testing, In-depth Interviews (IDIs), Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) and Online Communities/Diaries
c. Develop scenarios, tasks, success criteria for Moderated and Unmoderated Usability Testing and Eye Tracking studies
d. Qualitative analysis and reporting of projects
2. Secondary (Ad-hoc): Moderation of IDIs and FGDs when required, support other qualitative and quantitative or mixed- methodology projects
3. Secondary (approx. 2 working days per month): Translate documents from English to local language
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: What is the required experience or skills for this position?
• At least 2 years’ working in a research or insights agency in a QUALITATIVE research role with knowledge or understanding of QUANTITATIVE research
• Expertise in designing and conducting qualitative research through a variety of methods e.g. Ethnography, In-depth Interviews (IDIs), Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) and Online Communities/Diaries
• Experience in Concept Testing, U&A (Usage & Attitude) and Usability Testing studies using Usability Testing tools
• Comfortable with execution of entire project cycle for research studies
• Competent in data visualization and storytelling in MS PowerPoint from multiple data sources synthesis
• Strong Project Management capabilities, managing timelines and stakeholder communication
• Fluent in written and spoken English and local language
• Must have a stable internet connection
• Independent & a self-starter, taking initiative to keep relevant partners in the loop
• Required skill(s): Advanced computer navigation skills, MS Office
• Familiar with using Lazada, Shopee and other competitor ecommerce brands
• Experience with user behaviour in ecommerce or digital products is good to have
• COUNTRIES BASED IN: 1 in Thailand, preferably Bangkok
• Based in Bangkok Lazada office or Work from home (work remotely), flexible to come into office once in a while.
• Part of the Regional Lazada Design Studio team (LSEA).
• Desk space and Laptop to be provided by Lazada Local office.
• LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS: Fluent in English & Thai
• NUMBER OF POSITIONS: 1 open position
• JOB TYPE: Permanent BPO, day shift (9 am to 6.30 pm)
SALARY:
• Average salary to be paid to candidate: USD 900 - 1000 per month
• or equivalent for each country (in the currency of that country), as per country norms and rates
• Budget is from LSEA – Product – UED
