Facilities Manager – Durban Westway

We’re looking for a Facilities Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day running of our Durban Westway sites. You’ll support on-site Facilities Officers and ensure our buildings are safe, compliant, efficient, and great places to work.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead, support, and motivate Facilities Officers across the Westway sites

• Own site standards, physical security, compliance, and maintenance systems

• Ensure smooth delivery of essential services, including:

  • Security systems (CCTV, access control, alarms, fire systems)

  • Cleaning, catering, vending & security services

  • Heating, cooling, lighting & power

  • Building repairs, layouts, grounds & fabric maintenance

  • Business equipment (printers, copiers, AV)

• Manage helpdesk tickets and SLAs

• Ensure full compliance with health, safety, environmental & security standards

• Manage contractors and service partners

• Control costs and support Capex & Opex budgets

• Support audits (ISO & compliance)

• Always prioritise the safety of employees, visitors & contractors

What You’ll Need

Essential

• Full driving licence & own vehicle

• Experience in building/plant maintenance and energy management

• Strong communication, organisation & customer service skills

• PC literate (Word, Excel)

• Calm under pressure, detail-focused, and a strong team player

Desirable

• 3+ years’ experience in Facilities Management
