About the role:
We are looking for a dynamic and innovative leader to manage a mid-size, complex organization in all aspects of Human Resources in Concentrix Japan. He/she will be responsible for strategizing business goals and executing key People Solutions initiatives in line with company values and business priorities. The Head of HR Japan will be a key member of the Concentrix Japan and global HR leadership team, responsible for providing the day-to-day direction and leadership for all aspects of the country People Solutions function. This is a business of rapid change and the Company seeks a leader who can cut HR through the noise and lead the organization in doing what is right for the business.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Partner with business to provide innovative solutions to business challenges related to People
- Provide strategic direction, tactical execution to the in-country People Solutions team effectively and efficiently.
- Embrace People Solutions processes and workflow automation to drive responsive behaviour in the People Solutions staff, and high internal “customer” satisfaction.
- Provide strong People Solutions service delivery leadership, planning, and guidance for the development and implementation of effective, and responsive programs which result in a positive, engaged workforce.
- Foster and maintain positive relationships with the global People Solutions Centers of Excellence (CoE), serving as an interface between People Solutions and our staff, so that our internal customers receive the highest quality People Solutions experience.
- Establish an effective team development plan, including metrics and deliverables.
- Manage and develop direct reporting staff, always driving performance and opportunity.
- Work with the Japan leadership team to develop and successfully implement a management development program that builds skills in current and future leaders.
- Partner closely with senior leadership team to drive company cultural change throughout Concentrix Japan.
- Be the visible champion of Concentrix Vision, Culture, and the People Solutions brand.
- Lead proactive employee and management communications so that every employee has the necessary information needed to perform to their maximum potential.
- Lead Staff engagement plans and Implement the company's employee engagement survey process annually to create a highly engaged organization.
- Manage Japan employee compensation, benefits and reward programs to ensure consistency with the company’s philosophy and practices.
- Act as a mentor, coach, thought leader and functional expert to senior management.
- Implement consistent strategies for managing People Solutions in Japan using best practice policy/practices, including performance management, compensation, goal setting, diversity and inclusion, and employee relations, in alignment with global practices.
- Build and maintain industry relationships in the People Solutions field
Profile & Experience
- 10 + years of progressive leadership experience in People Solutions positions in dynamic, fast-paced organizations.
- Industry experience: Candidates with experience in third party BPO's, Customer Services, Consuliting, Contact Center or Technology at leadership level preferred.
- Fluency in Japanese and English is a must. Excellent English communication skills needed.
- Must be well-versed in each of the People Solutions disciplines – compensation and benefits, payroll, training and development, employee relations and statutory compliance
- Experience leading HR teams of AT LEAST 25 staff in a fast moving, tech-driven, hands-on environment. Experience having 5+ direct reports at the management level.
- Experience working for a global organziation with AT LEAST 500 employees located in Japan alone.
- Highly adaptable and well-organized personality with excellent project management skills and strong business acumen. Preference for those who have led a business or operations team in their career.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and ability to interface with multiple external and internal stakeholders at levels that range from front-line staff to executives, globally.
- Ability to prioritize their time, demonstrate push-back, gravitas and a sense of urgency. Understand the value of providing outstanding, forward-thinking customer service
- Ability to exercise sound decisions and timely judgment. Paramount is confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Experience working with a global, matrix environment with multicultural teams.
- Proven ability to identify and independently solve complex problems through the implementation of systems based on industry best practices.
- Hands-on experience working with People Solutions systems and modern Office technologies.
