Software Development Engineer in Test

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our software development team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust automated test solutions to ensure the quality, performance, and reliability of our AI-powered software products. You will work closely with developers and product team in an Agile environment to drive continuous improvement in our testing practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Playwright and Typescript
• Collaborate with development teams to understand application requirements and define effective testing strategies.
• Perform integration testing to ensure end-to-end functionality across platforms and services.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices for testing and development.
• Identify, log, and troubleshoot defects, providing detailed reports and analysis.
• Work closely with DevOps to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Actively engage in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Use tools such as Jira, Confluence, and X-Ray for test case management and documentation.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required:

• Proven experience designing and implementing robust automated test frameworks.
• Proficiency in frameworks like Playwright and Typescript for end-to-end test automation.
• Hands-on experience with additional automation tools such as Selenium and Cypress.
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or REST Assured.
• Experience with integration testing and CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab, Azure DevOps, Jenkins).
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
• Familiarity with web development frameworks, especially React.js.
• Solid knowledge of QA methodologies, debugging, and problem-solving.
• Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
• Familiarity with Confluence, Jira, and X-Ray.
• Familiarity with containerization/orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance with a focus on test automation.

Nice to Have:

• Experience testing in cloud environments (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Exposure to performance and security testing practices and tools.
• Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter.
