In this Durban based role, you’ll offer creative insight on ways to enhance content, boosting delegate engagement and speed of competency. Our ideal candidate will have previous exposure to the BPO and Telecoms industry.
Playing a central part within the business, you’ll provide links between the client, live operation, the academy and new hire, ensuring that all learning needs and training solutions are a creatively designed, delivered and up to standard.

What you will do in this role
- Identify revenue-generating opportunities by updating training materials based on new trends and changes in the business
- Continually improve training materials for inductions, upskilling and client calls
- Coordinate with the training administrator to organise management training for projects and clients
- Manage all client, project, customer and excellence academy training, ensuring alignment with HR policies
- Deliver excellent standards of customer service by benchmarking service standards, conducting satisfaction analysis and reporting and acting upon feedback
- Monitor on-site training activities, creating progress and management reports to ensure timely delivery of L&CD progress or highlight success and areas of concern
- Identify and prioritise challenges and limitations, proposing effective solutions supported by a business case where appropriate
- Provide feedback to the wider team on L&CD changes to improve department quality and support cross-site implementation of successful change interventions
- Drive employee engagement through L&CD solutions / support
- Inform wider team about any L&CD changes to help improve the department's quality and ensure that changes are implemented successfully across site locations
- Proactively build and develop strong relationships with other departments to enhance working practices and support the L&CD department
- Plan, coordinate and schedule all site learning solutions, resource coordination, cost and operational management considerations
Your qualifications and experience
- Strong leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve high performance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels in the organization
- A minimum of 2-year experience as a Training Manager, with relevant people management experience
- Experience in team management, coaching, development, training methodologies and learning needs
- Ability to understand, analyse, navigate and communicate to ensure that effective development and learning is achieved
- Creativity and innovation to develop unique and effective training approaches
- Strong time management skills to effectively prioritise tasks and meet deadlines effectively
- Flexibility and adaptability to respond to and thrive in a dynamic work environment with constant change
